Nothing makes a day better than topping it off by attending a K-State game. Tonight my sister, Sara, and I attended the final non-conference game against Savannah State at Bramlage. The Wildcats beat the Tigers 92-61, so all is right with the world, but tonight’s game was more than just a regular game…it was Jacob Pullen’s return to the lineup.
Ironically this is photo number 3 of the year and Jacob returned to the Cats bench after his 3 game suspension – I’m not sure I want to take the time to comment on what he did, but Coach Martin says he’s family and is ready to move forward, so I’ll go with that. It did seem like he was ready to play tonight – shooting his highest percentage ever (just over 80 percent) and scoring 24 points with 5 assists…and making three 3-pointers in the first half…hmm…this number 3 thing is weird! It was nice to have one of our seniors back – and hopefully we can play well as we start Big XII play this weekend.
I love going to the games, even if sometimes I get home late and have to teach the next day – it’s worth it. Some fun memories from tonight would be Jamar’s throw in dance, members of the crowd saluting when they were on the big screen (the salute will forever be a K-State “thing” now), and some of the signs (JAMAR-velous, The Beard is Back and Judge Wally’s Court is now in session). So, today’s picture is K-State senior #0 Jacob Pullen running the offense in another Wildcat Victory. EMAW!
