photographing, cooking, laughing through life

Another Friday night, another Emporia High School football game…with me on the sideline working. Of course there was the game to cover…and I did – in the drizzle, but there is obviously more that goes on at a game than just what happens on the field. With Manhattan in town, it was time for “Cowboy Night” in the student section. The superfans brought out the boots, cowboy hats, jeans, flannel…you name it, they wore it. Although the student section was there and excited, it wasn’t enough for the “cowboys” to overcome the Manhattan High Indians.

A few years ago I took a picture of Willie at a K-State football game that I just really liked – and (in fact) pretty much have everywhere. I thought I would use the same idea with rules of thirds and get a picture of the football coach at the game on Friday. Here’s how it turned out.
