A monumental day in the gym. #21
Because I just can’t get enough of EHS, I decided to spend the whole day working the wrestling duels. First off, announcing a duel meet is CAKE compared to announcing the Winter Wrestling Classic…which is a day full of announcing name after name after name as matches finish. However for a duel tournament, you announce all of the wrestlers to start the day and then it’s mostly keeping everything on track.
It was a big day for Spartan wrestlers today. Not only did we wrestle pretty well (we took 2nd), but several people hit some milestones today. Senior Brandon Charbonneau won his 125th match of his career (and he is really close to breaking the school record). His dad, Spartan Coach Dennis Charbonneau won his 200th career duel. And, last but not least, the Spartans won their 500th duel in school history.
So, today’s photo is a photo from the very first match of the day…and although you can’t really see our wrestler, Max Detwiler, I love the action in the photo.
