K-State Proud. Senior Day. Wildcat Victory. #63
Today was a great day! For my birthday Sara got me tickets to the K-State game vs. Oklahoma State. It was the K-State Proud game and the shirts this year were white (which always throws a little kink in the “normal” game day feeling). We drove to Manhattan from KC and went shopping for some white K-State shirts…because let’s face it, if you’re going to buy a K-State shirt, you don’t normally get a white one, so we needed some new digs. Then after eating at Willie’s (YUM) we headed to the game. It’s always fun to get there for some of the pregame warm-up because they always do some fun dunks before they head back into the locker room to get ready.
Before the game started, it was time to recognize the senior players: Jamar Samuels and Victor Ojeyele. It’s always fun to be there for senior day and see the last game at home for players who have put their heart into playing for the Cats.
The game was great, with the Wildcats winning 77-58 and McGruder leading the way with 24 points.
I’m so glad Sara got me tickets to the game. It was great being in Bramlage to watch the game and it was nice to spend time with her too. Now it’s time for a little March Madness!
