Oreo Dirt Cake

I love, love, love when you have a recipe that is so easy to make and a crowd-pleaser.  Last night I had a party with some friends and decided to make Oreo Dirt Cake.  This recipe is super simple and so good!

You will need:

1 package Oreos, 2 packages vanilla instant pudding, 3 cups of milk, 16 oz. cool whip, 8 oz. cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar.

First you need to crush your package of oreos.  I pull out half of the package and crush them to make the bottom crust and then crush the remaining separately for the topping.

I normally use a ziploc bag and a rolling pin, but I was fresh out of bags…but I found the bottom of a glass worked just fine!

Put 1/2 the oreos in the bottom of a 9×13 dish (or whatever container you want…you can always make it fancy by using a pot or whatever).  I was going for easy so I used a “boring” old pan.  Then start mixing your pudding ingredients.

Mix together your milk, pudding, cool whip and cream cheese and then slowly add your powdered sugar.

Pour the mixture into the pan with the oreos (proceed to like the bowl…and ENJOY), then top the pudding mixture with the remaining oreos.

So good!
