Crab Stir Fry

Even though it was a great visit to D.C., it was still nice to get home and actually do some cooking.  My dinner tonight was one that was suggested to me by a friend (thanks Jamie!) and it was a keeper!

The ingredients you will need:



  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red pepper
  • dash red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped button mushrooms
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 12 oz. imitation crab (chopped)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • soy sauce to taste

First, chop all of your veggies:


Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and add your onions, garlic and peppers.  Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.  Next, add in your mushrooms and red pepper flakes and heat for approximately a minute.  Then, add in your peas, cooking until they are heated through (about 5 minutes).


While the veggies are cooking, chop up your imitation crab.


Add the crab and cabbage to the rest of the veggies and cook on low for approximately 5 minutes (until your crab is heated through)


Serve the stir fry with soy sauce (I prefer the low sodium). This makes 4 good-sized servings.
